Our recent work on image-based microstructure modeling of additively manufactured alloys has been presented in the 4th ASTM Symposium on Structural Integrity of Additive Manufactured Materials (Oct 7~10, 2019 at Oxon Hill, MD).

Zihan Wang (the first PhD student) will start to work with Dr. Xu in Fall 2019.

Mr. Xianping Du will work with Prof. Xu during the summer on research topics related to uncertainty quantification.

Mr. Du is a Ph.D. student at Embry-riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Dr. Xu joined UConn as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering on Feb. 18, 2019. Before joining UConn, he worked for Ford Research and Advanced Engineering.
